Jon in Japan

Here are some pictures of me in Japan:

Sushi resturant

This was a picture taken of me and two Canadian kendo players (Hugo on the left, Antoine on the right) who were staying at Tokai for a couple weeks for kendo. It was taken at around 5 AM on Sunday morning, after being at a club called XROSS in Roppongi all night.

In the subway

This was taken on the subway ride home after the night of clubbing. A girl fell asleep on my shoulder. It happens more often then you think in Japan. The guys thought it was funny (you can see their reflection in the window) and so decided to take a picture.

Me and Ryo

A picture of me being a goof with one of my best Japanese buddies, Ryou. I've known Ryou since I was at my other university, Budai, and we've kept in touch since then. This particular night we were headed out to a club in Shibuya.
(Note: Those aren't my glasses.)

Me playing

This was a picture taken over at Tsumagoi where I was an assistant English teacher from July 31st to August 5th.

An example of an interesting English

This is a picture of one of my roommate's shirts.
In case you can't read it, it says:
"In there an energy. Inside your smile. That shines upon me. And the positive."
Wicked shirt.

Me smiling

In a power point presentation created by the students about their week at Tsumagoi, this picture was accompanied with the caption "Nice guy".

In the prep room

Me, Tommy, and a couple Swiss judo girls

This was a picture taken by Yamaguchi sensei of me, Tommy, and a couple of Swiss girls.

The dojo at Fujimi Kogen

This was the massive training area we had for the Nagano training camp... as big as it is, it got really crowded with everyone training.

Outside the Nippon Budokan

A picture of me, a couple Tokai boys, a couple Canadians, and Swissman.
We're all waiting for our VIP tickets outside of the Nippon Budokan to watch the Tokyo Area University Student's Championships.

What a Japanese judo tournament looks like...

The onsen, with the foreigners and Torii sempai

A picture taken after a night of relaxation at one of Japan's nicest onsen in one of Japan's most famous onsen area, Hakone.

At Fujiyama, one of the biggest rollercoasters in the world.

This was a picture taken while I was on one of the highest rollercoasters in the world. Lots of fun.

Making mochi
