My name is Jon Roberts, and I’m a twenty-three year old Canadian university student.
Judo has been a passion of mine every since I can remember.
I started when I was seven years old at the Edithvale Community centre at Senlac and Finch in North York, Ontario, and have been doing it ever since.
At seventeen, I won the Canadian National Junior (under nineteen years old) Championships,
and decided that I wanted to pursue it even further.
For three consecutive summers, I went to Hawaii Tokai International College to participate in International Judo Summer Camps.
At nineteen, I went to International Budo University in Katsuura-shi, Chiba-ken, for a year.
In the spring of 2006, I began training at Tokai University, which is currently the second strongest judo university in Japan.
I had a strong desire to go to the world or Olympic championships, however now I feel that I'd like to devote myself to my academics. That being said, I love judo passionately, and will never stop doing it so long as I can move.
If you are interested in knowing anything else, or would like to know anything about myself in greater detail, please feel free to contact me.
